A Message from the President

It is with great pleasure that I bring greetings on behalf of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Epsilon Xi Zeta Chapter, our undergraduates, adult, and youth auxiliaries. Our organization was founded on January 16, 1920, at Howard University with the purpose of being a friend to man. Our principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer womanhood, serve as a beacon to guide the work we do.

Since 1954, Epsilon Xi Zeta Chapter has had a proud and long-standing tradition of serving Mercer County, New Jersey, with plans to continue this tradition by holding steadfast to our principles.  In the past four years, Epsilon Xi Zeta Chapter has awarded approximately $20,000 in scholarships to youth in the area, to assist with offsetting the cost of obtaining a post-secondary degree.

Through our Zeta Helping Others Excel initiative (Z-HOPE), our chapter has partnered and donates to the missions of various organizations, including the March of Dimes, Making Strides against Breast Cancer, the American Heart Association, and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, through our principle of service. Additionally, we have developed sisterly relationships with local community-based organizations, and other organizations within the Pan Hellenic Council. We have worked collaboratively with these organizations on many of the initiatives above, with the goal of promoting unity and role modeling the alliance needed to heal our community. However, we are most proud of the work we do in concert with our brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Lambda Lambda Sigma Chapter. 

Finer womanhood is the principle that sets Zeta apart from other organizations! We strive to set an example for the younger generations and serve within our community with distinction and refinement. The motto of this new administration is… New Direction. New Connection. The Finer Way!
